AP4

The AP4 gives a highly professional result when sizing and thermo-fixing narrow fabrics and woven labels. It is the culmination of long experience and careful experimentation carried out in close collaboration with leading European label manufacturers who have been using the machine for a long time. The AP4 has been purpose-built for these functions and not subsequently "adapted to suit" the production of labels.

The cylinders on the AP4 do not contain diathermic oil, which requires long heating times and consumes a lot of energy.

The AP4 can be operational very quickly, allowing short runs to be processed. The AP4 gives the option of selecting one to four fabric "ends" at a time giving a very high production speed of up to 100 metres per minute.

Four unwinders with tension control and 'automatic stop' at the end of the ribbon.
Ultrasound welding unit to join ends quickly. (Optional)
Two dipping tanks for using two different sizing products in sequence. These tanks have pumps for recycling liquid to maintain a homogeneous density. The pumps are also used for automatic tank washing.
A label aligner situated between the first and second pressing units. The pressure of these two units can be individually adjusted using the two pneumatic cylinders located above each of the two rollers. The tension between the second unit and the entrance to the cylinder chamber is adjustable.
Four cylinders, heated by internal elements. This system was specifically designed to achieve the maximum rate of heating for the minimum of energy consumption. Each of the two double cylinder units can be adjusted to different temperatures. The compartment containing the cylinders (the first 'hot chamber') is heated by the cylinders themselves.
The ribbons are completely dried in the second 'hot chamber'. The chamber can hold a maximum run length of 22 metres. This length can be reduced by using alternate rollers during the process.
Tension regulators rewind the finished ribbons.
